Howard Gear was founded by Aaron Johnson, an alumnus of the Howard University Class of 1987.

He started out as a student activist that was able to finance student movements by selling Howard themed tees door-to-door in Howard dormitories.

​

The sayings, slogans, and sentiments found on Howard's campus are crystallized on our tees and related apparel. Howard Gear is sweat-shop free. All items are printed, dyed, and embroidered by us, a black owned business in Washington, DC.  

 

We are always on the yard during Homecoming and wanted to be able to provide apparel to our fellow Bison year round.
